Sometimes you just need a dress that says, “I’m on vacation.”  This dress is that for me.

If you’re not familiar with Brazilian brand Farm Rio, get acquainted.  Inspiring happiness is part of their brand mantra and they certainly do it through their vibrant prints, pattern mixing and whimsical silhouettes.

I love that this dress is 100% cotton, has 3/4 length sleeves and is so comfortable to wear.  It absolutely checks all the boxes for my ideal summer dress.

Bubble Sleeve Little White Dress

To me, a white cotton dress is quintessential summer.  Over the years I’ve found that the winning combination is 100% cotton, with sleeves and shorter in length.

I originally picked up this dress in red.  I adored the color but ultimately returned it because it was too big and snagged the white one in my size.

I love how effortless the white one is.  I styled it more casually with espadrilles and a circle bag, but you could glam it up with block heels and bold jewelry.

Bonus points: this dress looks great with sneakers.

Affordable Summer Sandals

Summer sandalsIf you’ve read In Spades before, you know I’m a fall/winter girl when it comes to fashion.  So it’s not surprising that except for these, I haven’t updated my summer sandal collection in about 10 years!  While I love the sustainability aspect of this, it’s definitely time for a refresh.

I’ve been scouring the internet for comfortable, flat sandals and here are my faves.

This dress and these mules are my favorite summer sale purchases.

I’m a big fan of LoveShackFancy dresses.  They are 100% cotton (washable), comfortable and stay cool in warm summer months.  This one comes in blue, pink, white and yellow.

Amina Muaddi is a shoe designer that has totally captured my heart.  Her playful mules come in tons of fun colors and materials and I’m coveting a pair of her boots for winter.

This would make a fabulous date night look.  I am looking forward to putting on something fancy (i.e. this) and hitting the town.

Over the weekend I shared 3 loungewear looks I’m loving.

This set is such a chic option for summer.  I’ve already worn it a ton!

It comes in 3 colors and has a sweatpants and sweatshirt option for cooler weather.  The cotton is high-quality and won’t stretch out.

I’m loving the shoulder pad top (total varsity vibes) and roll-top shorts.  It’s built-in casualness that is oh-so-chic.
