The 1970’s have seen a resurgence in fashion for the past few seasons. While I normally don’t gravitate towards a 70’s silhouette, this jumpsuit was the exception. It makes me feel like I stepped out of an old photograph, and (if I’m really going to indulge my day dream) meet up with Grace Jones later for lunch. Actually, I doubt Grace Jones does lunch. Let’s go with tea.

You will never catch me saying I won’t buy something for fear of not having any place to wear it. I wear sequins to the bank and floor length gowns during the day. Whatever my mood dictates, is what I do – never because of occasion. When I saw this fluid, deep v dress I knew I had to have it. With an Angelina Jolie leg slit it was just too good to pass up.

Athleisure has been around for a while now, but I never really took to the trend. This ensemble is about as far as I go. It’s perfect for running around in the summertime and I love that it secretly makes me feel like I should have a pair of boxing gloves hanging around my neck. Paired with mirrored sunglasses that definitely up my edge-factor, I’m ready to take on the day (with gusto).

I love a fun jumpsuit for summer. They’re so comfortable and easy and over the last couple of seasons I’ve discovered that Splendid makes the perfect fit. The criss-cross overall back and the henley buttons on the front give it just the right amount of detail for dressing up and down. Now, I’m off to the beach!
